Imitation petroglyphs © 1997
I carved these stamps while on vacation, visiting friends in Colorado. I was trying to imitate the style of ancient petroglyphs to tell a story of the first 48 hours of my trip. The story involved a Kansas campsite crawling with toads and dinner at my favorite restaurant, Tres Hombres in Woodland Park, Colorado. I sent these out as postcards to the folks back home. The spiral and hand are commercial stamps that my friend had at her place, the rest are mine.
