Texas Route 66 Exhibit

Texas Route 66 Exhibit © 2000

The Texas Old Route 66 Association Route 66 Exhibit is housed inside the Devil's Rope Museum in McLean Texas. They claim it's the world's largest Barbed Wire Museum. It's not the only one. The first time I ever heard of such a thing as a barbed wire museum, I was in a motel room with my family in Kansas, on the way to Colorado for our first family vacation out west. We were looking at tourist brochures, and when we read about a Barbed Wire Museum in the area, we literally rolled off the beds laughing. But the museum in McLean, Texas, at least, is not anything to laugh at, it's really interesting. There is also a Cross collection. If you're in McClean, go see it!
