E. Shape pictures and clay objects with Mark

Mark and I both enjoyed working with air dry clay and oven baked clay during the times when we were not enrolled in a ceramics class and did not have access to a kiln. During the summer of 1997, Mark and I did a joint project in which I made some clay shapes and he made some paper shapes. We walked around Forest Park and used the shapes to make mini temporary installations all around the park, and I took a lot of pictures. The left page of the journal pictured above was made by using some of my paper templates I used in making some of my shapes as stencils, then I applied stencils and old bits of black and white collage papers left over from old projects. I drew on the pages with some marker and white chalk pencil.
