This article explains why I was afraid to participate in an art form called Mail Art for a little over 20 years.
My Former 'Zine and Mail Art Days
When I started to get the urge to get back into Mail Art again, I saw an invitation to a group show that was a tribute to an artist named Ray Johnson, who is considered to be the founder or one of the founders of the modern form of Mail Art. I decided it would be a good project to join in because the image of the artist we were supposed to use in our project looked a lot like my husband. Plus I like images of human heads, it's fun to do things with them in collages like give them new facial features like a paper Mr. Potato Head or put things in their brain.
